CentaurX Setup Guide

Everything you need to connect CentaurX to HubSpot and start generating AI-powered revenue intelligence in under 5 minutes.

Overview

CentaurX is an AI Revenue Intelligence platform that connects to your HubSpot CRM via OAuth and uses AI agents to analyze your pipeline, coach your reps, and help you close more deals — pushing approved actions back to HubSpot so your CRM stays clean without manual data entry.

Prerequisites

  • A HubSpot account (any tier — Free, Starter, Pro, or Enterprise)
  • A CentaurX account — sign up free
  • Admin or Super Admin role in HubSpot (to authorize OAuth)

1. Installation

Create your CentaurX account

Go to app.centaurx.io/en/register and sign up with your work email. You'll receive a verification email to activate your account.

Log in to CentaurX

Navigate to app.centaurx.io/en/login and enter your credentials. You'll land on the onboarding flow.

Complete onboarding

The onboarding wizard will guide you through your company profile and invite team members. You can skip optional steps and complete them later from Settings.

2. Connect HubSpot

CentaurX connects to HubSpot using the official OAuth 2.0 flow. CentaurX reads your pipeline data to generate AI insights, and — for features like Data Hygienist, Pipeline Intelligence, and Ghostwriter — can push approved changes back to HubSpot on your behalf. Every write operation requires explicit approval in the War Room. Nothing is modified automatically.

Open Integrations

In the CentaurX sidebar, navigate to Settings → Integrations.

Click 'Connect HubSpot'

Click the Connect HubSpot button. You will be redirected to HubSpot's OAuth authorization page.

Authorize the scopes

CentaurX requests the following permissions:

Click Connect app in HubSpot to authorize.

Return to CentaurX

You will be automatically redirected back to CentaurX. Your HubSpot pipeline will sync within seconds. You'll see a green Connected status on the Integrations page.

Write operations are always user-initiated. CentaurX never modifies HubSpot data automatically. Every update — stage change, property correction, task, or email draft — requires you to click Approve in the War Room.

3. Configure Your Company Brain

The Company Brain is CentaurX's unique knowledge base that makes AI insights specific to your business — not generic sales advice. Configure it to dramatically improve the quality of every analysis.

Navigate to Company Brain

Click Company Brain in the left sidebar.

Define your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile)

Add your target company size, industries, geographies, and key buying triggers. CentaurX uses this to score deal fit and prioritize coaching.

Add buyer personas

Describe the roles, pain points, and objections of the people who typically buy from you. This powers personalized objection handling in Training Grounds.

Configure competitive intelligence

Add your main competitors and their known weaknesses. CentaurX will surface competitive positioning advice in deal analysis.

Sales process & playbook

Describe your sales stages, qualification criteria (MEDDIC, BANT, etc.), and winning behaviors. This anchors all AI coaching to your actual process.
Tip: A complete Company Brain reduces generic AI responses by ~80%. Spend 15 minutes here — it compounds across every agent interaction.

4. Features

Deal Architect

Select any open HubSpot deal from the picker and click Analyze. CentaurX surfaces risk factors, recommended next steps, probability scoring, and competitive intelligence in real time.

Post-Mortem Lab

Post-Mortem Lab (sidebar)

Select a closed-lost deal and run an autopsy. CentaurX identifies the root cause of the loss, the critical failure moment, competitor threats, and a prevention playbook.

Training Grounds

Training Grounds (sidebar)

Select a real deal as a training scenario. Your reps practice objection handling and discovery with an AI that knows your pipeline context and Company Brain.

Pipeline Intelligence

Pipeline Intelligence (sidebar)

Real-time pipeline health scoring, deal velocity tracking, and revenue forecasting based on your HubSpot stage progression data.

War Room

War Room (sidebar)

Your AI command center. All agent recommendations — deal actions, CRM corrections, follow-up tasks — land here for your review. One click approves and pushes the change to HubSpot.

CRM Pulse / Data Hygienist

CRM Pulse (sidebar)

Automated CRM data quality: identifies missing fields, incorrect industry classifications, incomplete contacts, and stale deals. Approve corrections with one click — CentaurX pushes them directly to HubSpot.

Outbound Hunter

Hunter (sidebar)

AI-powered contact enrichment that identifies missing stakeholders in your deals. Suggests persona classifications and contact data, then pushes approved records back to HubSpot contacts.

Ghostwriter

Ghostwriter (sidebar)

AI-generated email drafts for each deal, written in the rep's voice from your Company Brain context. Approved drafts are saved as EMAIL engagements in the HubSpot deal timeline — ready to send.

6. Disconnecting HubSpot

Go to Settings → Integrations

Click the Disconnect button next to HubSpot.

Automatic cleanup

CentaurX immediately revokes your OAuth access token and refresh token via HubSpot's API, and deletes all integration credentials from our systems.

Alternative: uninstall from HubSpot

You can also uninstall from HubSpot directly: HubSpot Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps → CentaurX → Uninstall. Our webhook automatically revokes all tokens and cleans up your data within 24 hours.

FAQ

Does CentaurX modify any data in HubSpot?
Yes — but only with your explicit approval. Features like Data Hygienist, Outbound Hunter, Pipeline Intelligence, and Ghostwriter can push approved changes back to HubSpot: property corrections, deal stage updates, audit notes, follow-up tasks, and email drafts. Every write requires you to click Approve in the War Room. Nothing is modified automatically.
Which HubSpot tiers are supported?
All tiers including Free. The only requirement is that your account has deal records to analyze.
Is my CRM data stored by CentaurX?
No. HubSpot records (deal names, contact names, amounts) are processed in-memory during analysis sessions and are not persisted to our database.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
OAuth tokens are revoked immediately. Your CentaurX account data (Company Brain, analysis history) is retained for 60 days to allow export, then permanently deleted.
Can multiple team members use CentaurX with the same HubSpot portal?
Yes. Invite team members from Settings → Team. One HubSpot connection is shared across the entire workspace.
Is CentaurX GDPR compliant?
Yes. We are the data processor, you are the data controller. We process data under a DPA available at centaurx.io/en/legal/privacy-policy. We support all GDPR data subject rights including erasure.
